The Covid-19 Crisis:

While our mission is centered on education, the current status of COVID-19 and its repercussions around the world, particularly in vulnerable communities, has been severe. Given the urgency of the situation, funds raised through Kunye will be split to benefit both children's education as well as those affected by COVID-19 in South Africa's townships.

What is the situation in SA?

-South African townships have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19.
-The coronavirus is highlighting South Africa’s stark racial and socioeconomic inequalities, which are still in existence 26 years after the end of the country’s apartheid system of racial oppression.
-For millions, this has been a month of misery - breadwinners are not working, families are struggling to survive, and children are going to bed and waking up hungry.

Where will the money go?

All profits will go towards Feed SA, a non-profit focused on providing meals to those in need.

Funds will be directed towards those hit hardest by the virus:
-Sick, elderly, children, those with no access to healthcare

26 US dollars provides a family of 4 with:

-apack, which contains
non-perishable food for 14 days
-personal hygiene and sanitary items
-cleaning materials and household items
